Wilem Construction Ltd began as a small, family-run business with a clear goal: to deliver reliable, high-quality building work that homeowners and businesses could truly depend on. Founded in 2005, we’ve spent the last two decades growing through word of mouth, strong client relationships, and a reputation for getting the job done right the first time. Our roots are in Great Yarmouth, but our work now spans across Norfolk and beyond—covering everything from small domestic projects to large commercial builds.

The Foundation of Wilem Construction
A Vision Rooted in Family
Wilem Construction’s journey began in 2002 when Shaun founded the business with a dream of one day working alongside his son, William. After years of running a successful building company, Shaun shifted his focus to property development. His first project was the construction of two detached houses on the Beacon Park Estate in Gorleston.
Encouraged by this success, Shaun took on a more ambitious project: converting a Norfolk red brick barn into two residential homes. This project brought new challenges, including underpinning and strengthening the barn’s structure, but it set the stage for the company’s future growth.
A Partnership Built to Last
From Father and Son to Trusted Partners
William’s passion for construction grew as he worked alongside Shaun during his teenage years. After finishing school, he joined the business full-time, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of construction, with a focus on groundworks.
In 2019, Shaun and William rebranded the company as Wilem Construction Ltd, officially becoming partners. Together, they’ve expanded the business, taking on diverse projects ranging from barn conversions to groundworks for asphalt plants.

- 2024: Completed the £2.7m Beech Farm Barns Development.
